Spartanburg County operates seven fully independent K-12 school districts — more than any comparably sized county in South Carolina. Spartanburg School District 1 covers Campobello, Gramling, Inman, Landrum, and Chesnee, anchored by Chapman and Landrum high schools. District 2 serves the high-growth Boiling Springs corridor. District 3 spans Glendale, Pacolet, and Cowpens. District 4 serves the Woodruff area. District 5 feeds Duncan, Lyman, Reidville, and Wellford into James F. Byrnes High School, one of Upstate South Carolina's largest campuses. District 6 covers Roebuck and the Anderson Mill Road corridor, feeding into Dorman High School. How do I enroll my child in a Spartanburg County school?
Enrollment is handled by each district independently. You must live within the district's attendance zone to enroll at no cost. Most districts hold open enrollment periods in spring for the following school year.
