FLORENCE, S.C. — South Florence will play host in the second round of the state high school football playoffs, with the No. 4 seed Bruins set to welcome No. 5 Lucy Beckham to Florence on Friday, Nov. 13.
The game is part of the 2026 SCHSL state championship bracket. Lucy Beckham travels up from Mount Pleasant for a varsity meeting that sends the winner on to the third round and ends the season for the other side.
The South Carolina High School League has published second-round pairings for all five classes, from 5A to 1A, in both the Upper State and Lower State halves of the bracket. Every one of those games is set for the same night, Nov. 13.
South Florence High sits in the fast-growing southern corridor of the city, an area that also takes in MUSC Health Florence Medical Center and a growing stretch of shops and restaurants along Irby Street. A home playoff date gives that side of town a Friday night crowd with a season on the line.
Elsewhere in the Pee Dee, No. 5 Marlboro County is on the road at No. 4 Strom Thurmond the same night.
