Volunteers Complete 68 Service Projects
More than 300 volunteers participated in the annual Day of Caring across Florence County on September 18. This event, presented by PGBA/BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, is organized by the United Way of Florence County.
The volunteers completed 68 service projects for local nonprofits and community organizations. Tasks performed by the volunteer teams included building repairs, landscaping, cleaning, painting, supply drives, and packing and delivering meals. The Day of Caring aims to connect local nonprofits with volunteers to help accomplish projects that might otherwise remain unfinished.
