Multiple Vehicle Crashes Reported in Florence
Two individuals sustained injuries in a series of car crashes that occurred back-to-back in Florence on Sunday. Florence County Fire Rescue responded to the incidents.
The initial call came in around 4:50 p.m., reporting a crash involving an 18-wheeler and another vehicle on Interstate 95 southbound, near the 167-mile marker. Upon arrival, emergency crews discovered one car in the median and another on the shoulder. One person involved in this first crash was injured and received evaluation from Florence County EMS before being transported to a hospital for further assessment.
While responders were still managing the scene of the first accident, a second crash took place, involving two additional cars. One person was reported injured in this subsequent crash and was evaluated by emergency personnel. Florence County Fire Rescue personnel also assisted with traffic control during the clearance of both incidents.
