Columbia, South Carolina – The University of South Carolina (USC) has once again demonstrated its academic excellence, with the International MBA program at the Darla Moore School of Business achieving the top ranking in the country for the 11th consecutive year in the 2025 Best Graduate School rankings. This recognition, presented by U.S. News & World Report, highlights USC’s ongoing commitment to providing superior educational programs.

The Darla Moore School of Business has maintained a remarkable presence in the national rankings, consistently positioning its International MBA program among the top three nationally for 36 years. The program emphasizes cross-border learning experiences through in-country immersion and a global curriculum, focusing on equipping students with the necessary technical expertise, business analytics proficiency, and soft skills essential for leadership roles in multinational companies.

In addition to the top-ranking International MBA program, USC has seen significant improvements across various other graduate programs, indicating a broad base of academic excellence. The Molinaroli College of Engineering and Computing has made notable gains, climbing 12 spots to secure the No. 81 position overall in engineering graduate programs and ranking No. 49 among public universities. Within this discipline, the civil engineering program improved by 14 spots, achieving a national ranking of No. 73, while the nuclear engineering program now ranks No. 21.

The College of Education also experienced an upward trend, moving up two spots to rank No. 27 among the best graduate education schools. Over the past three years, this college has improved its ranking by an impressive 60 spots. Furthermore, the Joseph F. Rice School of Law climbed three positions to No. 63 nationally and is now ranked No. 33 among public law schools, with specific accolades in trial advocacy, where it ranks No. 12 in the nation.

Moreover, the College of Nursing has made significant strides in its Doctor of Nursing Practice program, which moved up six spots to No. 36, while the master’s program ranks No. 23 nationally. For the fifth consecutive year, the College of Nursing has earned recognition as No. 1 for its online master’s program, reinforcing its leading role in nursing education.

The Darla Moore School of Business is not only recognized for its International MBA but also highlights other graduate-level achievements. The operations and supply chain program ranks No. 18, and the part-time MBA program claims the No. 23 spot nationally. These impressive standings illustrate the school’s comprehensive approach to business education.

The rising rankings across USC’s graduate programs reflect the academic institution’s ongoing commitment to excellence. The Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost noted that these advancements positively impact both students and the wider community.
