South Carolina – The University of South Carolina (USC) has once again secured the top spot in the nation for its International MBA program, marking the 11th consecutive year it has achieved this distinction. The announcement was made on April 8, 2025, by U.S. News & World Report, reaffirming the university’s longstanding reputation for excellence in business education.

The Darla Moore School of Business, responsible for the International MBA program, boasts an impressive record, having consistently ranked among the top three programs in the nation for the past 36 years. Dean Rohit Verma emphasized that the program’s unique approach includes in-country immersion experiences and a global curriculum designed to equip students with the skills needed for successful careers in international business.

In addition to its prowess in international business, USC has more nationally ranked graduate programs than all other colleges and universities in South Carolina combined. This broad-based excellence is reflected in various disciplines across the university.

The USC graduate program landscape is vibrant, with significant improvements noted in several areas. The Molinaroli College of Engineering and Computing witnessed its overall engineering graduate program ranking soar by 12 spots to No. 81 nationally. Notably, the civil engineering program jumped 14 positions to No. 73, while the nuclear engineering program achieved an impressive ranking of No. 21.

In the field of education, the College of Education advanced to No. 27 among the best graduate education schools, showing a remarkable 60-spot improvement over the last three years. The commitment to educational excellence is further underscored by the poignant rise of the Joseph F. Rice School of Law, which moved up to No. 63 overall and No. 33 among public law schools. Its trial advocacy program remains strong, ranking No. 12 nationally.

The College of Nursing has also made considerable strides, with its doctor of nursing practice program climbing to No. 36, while its master’s program is nationally recognized at No. 23. Earlier in January, USC’s online master’s program in nursing was ranked No. 1 for the fifth consecutive year, underscoring the college’s dedication to accessible and quality nursing education.
