South Carolina – The University of South Carolina (USC) has once again claimed the top spot for its International MBA (IMBA) program, marking the 11th consecutive year it has achieved this honor, according to the latest 2025 Best Graduate School rankings released on April 8, 2025, by U.S. News & World Report. This recognition underscores USC’s sustained excellence in graduate education, highlighting its IMBA program, which focuses on preparing students for leadership roles in multinational corporations through immersive global experiences and comprehensive coursework.

In addition to its impressive IMBA ranking, USC has more nationally ranked graduate programs than all other institutions in South Carolina combined. The Darla Moore School of Business, which houses the IMBA program, has maintained a position in the top three nationally for 36 consecutive years, signifying its enduring reputation for high-quality business education.

The recent rankings also showcased notable advancements across various disciplines within USC. The Molinaroli College of Engineering and Computing displayed significant improvement, rising by 12 spots to rank No. 81 nationally and No. 49 among public universities. Within the engineering program, civil engineering surged 14 places to No. 73, while nuclear engineering solidified its standing at No. 21 nationally.

Academic progress was also evident in the College of Education, which climbed to No. 27, marking a remarkable increase of 60 spots over the past three years. Furthermore, the Joseph F. Rice School of Law moved up three positions to No. 63 nationally and No. 33 among public law schools, with its trial advocacy program receiving a notable ranking of No. 12.

The College of Nursing achieved impressive results as well, with its doctor of nursing practice program moving up six spots to rank No. 36. This college’s master’s program also made a mark by securing the 23rd position nationally. For the fifth consecutive year, it was ranked No. 1 for its online master’s program, reinforcing its reputation as a leader in nursing education.

USC also showcased its strength in business education beyond the IMBA program. The graduate-level operations and supply chain program was recognized with a ranking of No. 18, while its part-time MBA program placed 23rd. All these rankings reflect USC’s broad-based excellence across its graduate programs.

As highlighted by university officials, USC’s commitment to academic excellence not only enhances the educational experience of its students but also positively impacts the state of South Carolina.
