University of South Carolina International MBA Program

News Summary

The University of South Carolina’s International MBA program has been ranked as the top program in the U.S. for the 11th consecutive year, reflecting the university’s exceptional academic offerings. Furthermore, several other programs at USC also achieved notable rankings, including significant progress in engineering, education, and nursing. This recognition underscores USC’s commitment to academic excellence and positions it as a leader in graduate education in South Carolina and beyond.

Columbia, South Carolina – The University of South Carolina (USC) has achieved a remarkable milestone, with its International MBA (IMBA) program being recognized as the top program in the United States for the eleventh consecutive year, according to the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings released on April 8, 2025. This significant accomplishment reinforces USC’s reputation as a leader in higher education within the state, boasting the most nationally ranked graduate programs compared to all other colleges and universities in South Carolina combined.

The Darla Moore School of Business, which houses the IMBA program, has consistently maintained its position among the top three IMBA programs for a remarkable 36 years. This long-standing excellence is attributed to the school’s innovative curriculum, which includes in-country immersion experiences and global coursework at partner schools, providing students with invaluable international exposure. The program emphasizes not only business analytics but also the development of essential soft skills necessary for success in the global marketplace.

In addition to the IMBA program’s accolades, several other graduate programs at USC have achieved notable rankings this year. The Molinaroli College of Engineering and Computing saw its overall engineering graduate programs rank at No. 81, advancing 12 positions since the previous year. Within the engineering discipline, the civil engineering program improved by 14 spots to rank No. 73, while the nuclear engineering program secured a national ranking of No. 21, increasing by two spots.

The College of Education has shown remarkable progress, rising to No. 27 in the rankings of overall graduate education programs, which represents a significant jump of 60 places over the last three years. Additionally, the Joseph F. Rice School of Law climbed to No. 63 nationally and No. 33 among public law schools, with its trial advocacy program receiving high recognition at No. 12.

The College of Nursing also made gains in the rankings, with its Doctor of Nursing Practice program improving to No. 36 and its master’s program ranking at No. 23. Notably, USC’s online master’s program in nursing maintained an impressive No. 1 ranking for the fifth consecutive year, highlighting the university’s commitment to accessible and high-quality education.

Furthermore, the Darla Moore School’s graduate-level operations and supply chain program ranked No. 18, while the part-time MBA program secured the No. 23 spot. These achievements collectively demonstrate USC’s broad-based excellence across multiple disciplines, reflecting a strong commitment to delivering quality education and fostering a robust academic environment.

The continuous successes in these national rankings illustrate the University of South Carolina’s ongoing dedication to academic excellence. As highlighted by recent data, USC not only excels in international business and supply chain management through the Darla Moore School of Business but also stands out in various other fields of study, thereby solidifying its position as a comprehensive educational institution.

In summary, USC’s International MBA program has set a remarkable standard, maintaining its No. 1 ranking for over a decade. The positive trajectory of various other graduate programs adds to the university’s overall reputation, ensuring that USC remains a premier choice for prospective students seeking quality higher education.
