This feat is part of a larger trend as South Carolina’s overall exports surged by 18% to reach $37.3 billion. This is particularly noteworthy considering that U.S. exports as a whole fell by 2.2% compared to last year.
Canadian Ambassador to the U.S., Kirsten Hillman, has held discussions with local officials and business leaders regarding the promising investments from Canada. The state is now home to 154 Canadian-owned companies, employing roughly 13,450 people. What’s more, two new Canadian players are stepping into the game, ready to kickstart additional job opportunities in South Carolina:
