This contribution, stemming from his earnings through Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deals, was celebrated at a ceremony that featured a meet-and-greet and autograph signing session.

Sellers’ impressive football resume dates back to his high school days, where he led South Florence High School to a 15-0 record and claimed the SCHSL 4A championship title in 2022 against Northwestern. During that senior season, he achieved nearly 4,300 total yards and threw for an astounding 62 touchdowns, showcasing his ability to dominate the field.

Upon arriving at USC, Sellers quickly made a name for himself. In 2024, he earned prestigious titles, including the Football Writers’ Association of America National Freshman Offensive Player of the Year and SEC Freshman of the Year. He recorded a remarkable 65.6% pass completion rate, which ranks as the seventh-best percentage in USC’s program history. Last season, he completed 64.9% of his passes, totaling 2,274 yards and 17 touchdowns. In addition to his passing prowess, Sellers also showcased his athleticism with 655 rushing yards on 155 attempts for an average of 4.2 yards per carry, adding another seven rushing touchdowns to his impressive stats.

His exceptional performance did not go unnoticed; Sellers was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week twice and also secured the SEC Freshman of the Week honors on two separate occasions. As the Gamecocks look to the future, they have been predicted to finish fifth in the upcoming SEC season, further elevating the stakes for Sellers and his teammates.

The anticipation for the 2024 season is palpable, particularly with the Gamecocks set to kick off their campaign on August 31 against Virginia Tech at the iconic Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
