Throughout his tenure at Francis Marion University, Munn has taught a variety of courses, with subject matter ranging from contemporary issues in business and economic analysis to money and banking as well as urban and regional economics. His teaching has contributed significantly to the academic growth of students in the business program.

In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Munn was appointed the Henry Booker Sparrow Chair of Economics and Economics Forecasting in 2017, reflecting his expertise in the field.
