Florence, South Carolina – Charlie Bussey III and Rijnaldo Euson of Francis Marion University have been recognized for their outstanding performances during the baseball season by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA). Bussey III has been selected to the All-America third team, while Euson received an honorable mention. These accolades further reflect their exceptional contributions to the team and the sport.

This recognition comes shortly after Euson was named to the National College Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) All-America third team, with Bussey III also earning an honorable mention in that category.

Charlie Bussey III had a remarkable season, leading the Conference Carolinas with a .437 batting average. He displayed impressive offensive skills, tallying 19 doubles, 11 home runs, and 65 runs batted in across 52 games. His base-running was productive too, as he successfully stole 15 bases out of 22 attempts.

Bussey III also showcased his consistency throughout the season, recording 27 multi-hit games and 18 multi-RBI contests. He reached base safely in 46 of 52 games and maintained a commendable defensive performance, making just five errors in 379 fielding chances, resulting in a .987 fielding percentage.

His impressive statistics place him among the top performers nationally, ranking 11th in batting average and on-base percentage, 30th in hits, 35th in RBIs, 39th in doubles, 41st in slugging percentage, and 43rd in runs scored.

On the pitching side, Rijnaldo Euson had a stellar season as well, finishing with an 11-3 record and a 3.20 earned run average (ERA). Over the course of 98.1 innings, he allowed 77 hits and registered 114 strikeouts, ensuring opponents struggled with a batting average of just .211. Euson’s performance included completing seven games with two shutouts, and he ranks fourth nationally in strikeouts and complete games while placing sixth in wins.

He led Conference Carolinas in several pitching categories, including wins, strikeouts, innings pitched, and opponents’ batting average against, while ranking third in ERA. Both players were also recognized as first-team All-Region selections by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings, NCBWA, and D2CCA.
