The shooting occurred during an altercation inside the store, and images of the suspects have been released. Community vigilance is urged as investigations continue.

Florence authorities are seeking public assistance in identifying three suspects linked to a shooting that took place inside a convenience store on Saturday. The incident occurred at the Phoenix Mart, located off David McLeod Boulevard, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.

The shooting erupted during an altercation within the store, where one of the unidentified suspects discharged a firearm. As part of their investigation, law enforcement officials have released images of the three suspects to assist the community in identifying them. Individuals with any information regarding the suspects are encouraged to contact Sgt. Frye via email at mfrye@cityofflorence.com or by phone at 843-665-3191.

In a separate incident earlier this week, a Florence man is facing multiple charges, including murder and attempted murder, following a shooting that occurred on Thursday. The shooting took place at North Irby Street and the 300 block of West Vista Street in the early hours of the morning, around 1:30 a.m. Upon arriving at the scene, police discovered two shooting victims lying on the sidewalk, leading to an urgent response from emergency services.

One of the victims, identified as Jai’Mere Jordan, a 16-year-old resident of Florence, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The second victim remains in critical condition, highlighting the severity of the situation. Authorities reported that the shooting stemmed from a dispute related to a firearm sale, which escalated when two suspects opened fire.

In connection with this shooting, Mehki Christopher Rush, aged 20, has been arrested and charged with several offenses, including murder, attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, aggravated breach of peace, criminal conspiracy, and armed robbery. Additionally, a second suspect mentioned in arrest warrants has not yet been identified or apprehended. A third suspect, identified as 28-year-old Troy Middleton, has been arrested and faces multiple charges related to the incident.

Another suspect linked to the crime, 20-year-old Isaiah Randell Oneal Nero, has also been charged with the same serious offenses as Rush and Middleton. The ongoing investigation into this shooting incident continues as authorities work to gather more details and evidence.

The police department emphasizes the crucial role that community cooperation plays in solving these cases. With the violence experienced in these recent incidents, local authorities are appealing to residents for any leads that may help bring the suspects to justice and enhance public safety in the area.

As both investigations unfold, residents are reminded to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity in their neighborhoods. The violence seen in these incidents raises considerable concern amongst community members, and the authorities are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of Florence residents.

Both shooting incidents are under active investigation, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available. In the meantime, law enforcement urges individuals with relevant information to step forward, offering a pathway for community engagement in addressing the violence that has recently impacted their neighborhood.
