Florence, S.C. – Authorities have made a second arrest connected to an armed robbery that occurred on June 25 in Florence, South Carolina. A male juvenile has been taken into custody and is now under the care of the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice.

The incident happened at around 2 p.m. at a residence in the 900 block of Christopher Lane. Reports indicate that at least three individuals participated in the robbery, which was marked by alarming violence. The suspects, armed with rifles and handguns, forced their way into the victim’s home after he answered the door. Once inside, they stole a handgun and cash before escaping in a vehicle.

The first suspect arrested was Ty’yare McIntosh, an 18-year-old from Florence, who was taken into custody on July 1. He faces multiple charges, including armed robbery, criminal conspiracy, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Following his arrest, McIntosh was booked at the Florence County Detention Center and later released on a bond set at $85,000.

Law enforcement agencies continue their investigation and are working to uncover potential accomplices involved in the robbery. They have utilized Advanced Flock cameras to track the vehicle used in the heist, which was located on Layton Street. However, the search for the suspects at that location did not yield any results.

The police are urging anyone with information about the suspects or the robbery to come forward. Reports can be made to Investigator Murphy via email or through the Florence Police Department at 843-665-3191. Tips can be submitted anonymously for those who prefer to remain unidentified.
