Florence – The Florence After 5 event in downtown Florence has been rescheduled for August 2, 2024, following a cancellation due to inclement weather, which was deemed a safety concern for attendees and performers alike. Originally planned for July 26, 2024, this popular community gathering will now feature the Tru Sol Band, known for their soulful renditions of Motown classics and hits from the 70s, 80s, hip-hop, and R&B.
The rescheduled event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the 100 block of S. Dargan Street. Admission is free and open to the public, making it a welcoming outing for families and individuals of all ages. Participants are encouraged to bring their own chairs to enjoy the performance comfortably; however, outside coolers are not permitted on-site.
In addition to live music, attendees can enjoy a variety of food and drink stands, yard games, and other family-friendly activities. This vibrant atmosphere is designed to foster community engagement and provide an enjoyable experience for all who attend.
The Florence After 5 series is organized by the Florence Downtown Development Corp. and is typically held on the last Friday of each month from May through September.
