The new 264,000-square-foot facility will enhance its manufacturing capabilities and house a major 3D printing factory. This move is part of AIRSYS’s strategy to strengthen its U.S. presence and commit to innovative data center cooling solutions, significantly benefiting the local economy and job market.

South Carolina is set to become the new home for the global headquarters of AIRSYS Cooling Technologies as the company announces a significant $40 million investment that will generate 215 new jobs in Woodruff, Spartanburg County. The new facility, which will be located at 6228 Hwy. 101, aims to bolster AIRSYS’s commitment to innovation in the cooling technology sector.

The investment will result in the construction of a 264,000-square-foot global headquarters campus, which will not only serve as the main office for the company but will also enhance its current manufacturing operations in Spartanburg County. Operations are projected to commence in 2026, allowing ample time for development and employee training.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, AIRSYS has operated out of Greer, SC, for years. The company specializes in developing and manufacturing cooling equipment tailored for the information and communication technology sectors. The new facility will house one of the world’s largest 3D printing factories, focused on producing customizable spray liquid cooling components designed for high-density computing servers.

AIRSYS’s cooling solutions are essential components in data centers, schools, and telecom cabinets around the globe, emphasizing the growing demand for energy-efficient technologies that support critical infrastructure. The South Carolina Department of Commerce has publicly acknowledged the significant impact this investment will have on the local economy.

Spartanburg County Council Vice Chairman David Britt underscored the project as a vital win for economic development in the region. To support this initiative, the Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits that will assist in facilitating the growth of AIRSYS in the area. Additionally, a $500,000 Set-Aside grant has been allotted to Spartanburg County to aid in necessary site preparation and construction costs associated with the new headquarters.

Local officials, including Woodruff Mayor Kenneth Gist, have expressed optimism regarding the positive impact the investment is expected to have on the community. This development indicates a significant contribution to job creation and economic stability in the region, offering new employment opportunities directly related to cutting-edge technology.

As part of its strategic plan, AIRSYS is actively working to strengthen its presence in the United States, with an emphasis on fostering innovation in data center cooling solutions. The establishment of a global headquarters in Spartanburg County not only highlights the company’s growth trajectory but also reflects the importance of the region as a hub for technology and manufacturing.

This investment marks a pivotal moment for both AIRSYS and Spartanburg County, positioning the area as a leader in next-generation cooling technologies. By moving forward with this significant expansion, AIRSYS is poised to enhance its operational capabilities while simultaneously contributing to the economic vitality of Woodruff and its surrounding communities.
