Florence, SC – An armed robbery incident in the 900 block of Christopher Lane led to the arrest of one suspect, while two others remain at large. The arrest occurred following an incident reported on Wednesday around 2 p.m.

The arrested individual, identified as Ty’yare McIntosh, an 18-year-old resident, faces multiple charges, including armed robbery, criminal conspiracy, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Police allege that McIntosh was one of three armed individuals who entered the victim’s home and threatened them with firearms.

According to the police report, the victim answered the door to find the suspects, who were armed with rifles and handguns. The robbers demanded cash and a handgun before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. While the victim was not physically harmed, the incident has left the community shaken.

Authorities utilized the city’s Flock camera system to track the getaway vehicle, which led them to a location on Layton Street. However, upon arrival, officers found that the suspects had not remained at that location. The police department is actively investigating to locate the two additional suspects involved in the crime and has urged anyone with information to come forward.

The Florence Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance and encourages anyone who may have seen suspicious activity or has information regarding the whereabouts of the two escaped suspects to contact Investigator Murphy via email, or to reach out to the Florence Police Department at 843-665-3191. Individuals providing information can remain anonymous.
