South Carolina will welcome its first Four Seasons hotel, slated to replace the former Days Inn in downtown Charleston by 2028. Featuring 139 luxury guest rooms and 36 high-end residential units, the hotel aims to cater to affluent visitors. With amenities such as restaurants, a spa, and event spaces, it marks a significant addition to the city’s hospitality sector, revamping the area and enhancing its tourism offerings.

South Carolina is set to welcome its first Four Seasons hotel in downtown Charleston, with plans to open by the year 2028. This new hotel will be situated on Meeting Street, replacing the site of the former Days Inn motel, and is part of a larger development initiative led by Strategic Property Partners, a Tampa-based real estate company.

The Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Charleston will feature a total of 139 luxury guest rooms and 36 high-end residential units, designed to cater to affluent visitors and residents alike. These residential units are expected to range from 2,000 to 3,700 square feet, with prices starting at $5 million. Floor plans for the residences will include options such as two-bedroom units with two-and-a-half bathrooms, as well as larger five-bedroom homes complete with three-and-a-half bathrooms. Additionally, many of these residences will boast outdoor balconies or terraces, offering stunning views of the historic Charleston landscape.

The hotel will provide an array of amenities aimed at enhancing the guest experience. Visitors can expect to find four restaurants and bars, an outdoor pool with private cabanas, and approximately 7,000 square feet of event space for meetings and special occasions. A full-service spa will be featured, including private treatment rooms and hydro-thermal facilities to promote relaxation and wellness. A fitness center and retail space will also be included to cater to the diverse needs of guests.

The architectural design of the hotel will be executed by Morris Adjmi Architects, with interiors crafted by Lark Design Studios. In addition, the landscape design will be handled by Hollander Design, ensuring that the new establishment harmonizes with Charleston’s historic charm and aesthetic appeal.

The development of this Four Seasons hotel aligns with the significant resurgence of tourism in Charleston. In recent years, the city has seen a marked increase in visitors, with an impressive 7.89 million tourists recorded in 2024 alone, contributing to an economic impact exceeding $14 billion. The introduction of a luxury hotel by a globally recognized brand like Four Seasons is anticipated to further enrich Charleston’s hospitality and lifestyle offerings.

Leaders of the project have expressed their excitement about the development, highlighting Charleston’s unique blend of modern luxury while preserving historical architecture that has attracted tourists for generations. The hotel is set to combine contemporary amenities with the city’s renowned hospitality culture, creating an exceptional experience for both residents and visitors.

In summary, the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Charleston is aimed at enhancing the city’s already robust tourism sector while providing high-end accommodations and residences. With a projected opening date set for 2028, this establishment will not only elevate Charleston’s luxury hotel offerings but will also contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the area’s hospitality landscape, enriching the experience for all who visit this vibrant city.
