FLORENCE, S.C. — Country band Diamond Rio plays Florence on Thursday, Oct. 29, with a 7:30 p.m. show downtown at Francis Marion University’s Performing Arts Center.

The group formed in 1989 and set a record two years later, when its debut single, Meet in the Middle, reached No. 1, a first for a country group’s debut. A long run of radio favorites followed, among them One More Day, Beautiful Mess and I Believe.

Over the years the band has collected more than 20 Top 10 singles and seven chart-toppers, joined the Grand Ole Opry and won a Grammy. Members have also spent years backing Big Brothers Big Sisters, helping raise more than $1 million for charity.

The concert is part of the arts center’s 2026-2027 Spotlight Series. The venue sits at 201 South Dargan Street, and its box office can be reached at 843-661-4444.
